Nine SCP ’88 classmates meet for unofficial reunion
On Friday October 3, 2008 an impromptu “reunion” was held at Churchill’s Pub with 9 members of Savannah Christian class of ’88. John Mesaros, Christy Howard, Stephanie Stapleton Wilson, Mary Highsmith Wilson, Beth Albert Monahan, Susan Tutan Gonzales, Cindy Zeigler Barnette, Eddie Wilson, and Jason Hagan, in attendance. Other former classmates were there as well such as Dondra Bass. Mary and Christy planned this last minute gathering the weekend before hoping that a homecoming eve party would have the best chances of getting local Savannians as well as out of towners to come. Although contacting classmates didn’t start until 6 days out, the alumni site and Facebook helped the planners reach as many people as possible on short notice and bring in many of the locals without prior commitments.
I hope we can continue to have get togethers like this more often without waiting another ten years for a reunion so if there are any MIA members of our class that you may be able to reach please have them contact us through this website or Facebook to be added to the contact list.
